As a teenager, Wes began screen printing and working as a lighting engineer for bands in the squatters movement and DIY underground galleries. As a young adult in search of adventure and to escape his social obligations, he ran away with the circus. To further his practice, he enrolled at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, where he graduated in 2008, specialising in printmaking and performance. That same year, he sustained a spinal cord injury due to an accident, and has since dedicated himself to digital art for the public domain.
